Box Sealing Tapes are further broken down into the type of adhesive used on the tape. The most common adhesive is known as Pressure Sensitive. Almost all tapes are pressure sensitive tapes in that the tape adheres to the surface it is sealing simply by applying pressure to the tape. The second type of carton sealing tape is commonly called water activated tape. A small amount of moisture is required to activate the adhesive on this type of tape.
